Canadian Island Invites Americans to Move There if Trump Wins Presidency

BY CHRISTOPHER SPATA

Remember way back when Donald Trump said he was maybe running for president and we all laughed, and then he really started running for president and we kind of kept laughing?

Then he jumped to the front of the polls, became the front-runner for the Republican nomination and won the New Hampshire Primary, making even Stephen Colbert recognize along the way. We stopped laughing and started getting, well, maybe not worried, but lets just say uneasy.

Good thing your hospitable and polite friends to the north have a backup plan for you, just in case. The Canadian island of Cape Breton, about 500 miles east of Maine's border with Canada, has issued an open invitation to all Americans:

"Hi Americans! Donald Trump may become the President of your country! If that happens, and you decide to get the hell out of there, might I suggest moving to Cape Breton Island!," reads the homepage of the Cape Breton If Donald Trump Wins campaign.
The website urges Americans not to wait until Donald Trump is elected to find somewhere new to live, but to plan ahead, "That way, on election day you just hop on a bus and start your new life in Cape Breton, where women can get abortions, Muslim people can roam freely, and the only 'walls' are holding up the roofs of our extremely affordable houses."

Is this some kind of joke to get attention? Well, the website states clearly that "this is not a joke," but that the island is experiencing a bit of a "population problem," which is why they're reaching out.

How much would it cost for a three bedroom lakeside home in your state? About a jillion dollars? You would need to BE Donald Trump to afford a place like that. But in Cape Breton, we have the most affordable housing market in North America!
It's probably a good time for them to try something like this, considering Americans renouncing their U.S. citizenship is at an all-time high.

On the downside, the average daily low temperature during Winter in Cape Breton Island is around 5 degrees, but hey, at least you'll probably see Zedd there.rolling on the floor laughing

I've concluded from readings on Trump... that Trump has hotels in Canada, and many investors are suing him not only in Canada but in other countries including the US, because of bad deals ... and Trump is suing them because they once used his name, but stopped and refuse to pay him his royalties for the use of his name and signed contracts...

From reports from Canadian newspapers and other reports, they (the people) want him out due to his degrading insults toward the Pope, Muslims, Mexicans, woman, and because of all the nasty things he has been speaking, which the Canadians say, is against their values and beliefs and they don't care to have such a person in their towns doing business with his character... bullying people.

Trump also has his name on a hotel in RUSSIA, NO WONDER HE SPEAKS SO HIGHLY OF PUTIN... but it is not completed because of money problems, and investor problems. It appears something went wrong with the investors are who are backing out doing business with Trump.. Ireland, Scotland, and many other overseas investors are asking him to leave their country building his hotels. They are no longer interested in doing business with Trump.

According to reliable reports I've read on the internet, Donald "the con" claims he has over "100 deals in the works, with 85% of these deals outside of America", selling his name of course... this is how he makes his money, and by getting investor to invest their money in one of his grand ideas of hotels and whatever and assign his name to the project...

Maybe Trump can tell us, how many of those 100 deals and how much of the 85% deals has he lost and how many lawsuits are against him because of past and present bad 'con" deals?... lost, since he has spoken so many nasty insulting words against the Pope, Muslims, Mexicans, women, and the other candidates, and people in general, etc.? Trump speaks negative against anyone who confronts him. One of his claims is that he lost a lawsuit because the judge was Hispanic and didn't like him "because he was a Christian" ... how off the hook is that??? confused

I've also read that so far, about 50,000 Canadians have signed a petition to have Trump's name removed from a hotel in Canada... what kind of Presidential material does he represent for America?...

We are trying to teach our children how to handle bullies, and how not to bully others, to respect and have good manners... yet, we have people who are voting for a Presidential candidate who IS A BULLY, who would care less about bullying others in public or name calling and speaking vile words. So, what kind of example is Trump setting before our children? Is his unacceptable negative behavior proper to teach our children contrary to what we are teaching them that is good? Are we to now teach our children that, if a President can have such unacceptable bad behavior, bully, insult, and name call others nasty names and curse, there is nothing wrong with children doing the same, and its okay?

Well, I admit that seeing the three pages kinda steered me away. But after going back I see it was more of something political and I had mistaken it for a more personal invitation to people that may want to travel, anyway, thanks for pointing that out...sorry for the inconvenience. doh

I'm guessing the OP and Trump went to the same Sunday school, as they both appear to be following the same type of Christian attitudes, Two peas in a pod.
