Writing that on your profile only makes you look more vulnerable, which is exactly why you attracted a scammer.
I don't know why you kept in contact once you knew he was a scammer though

People who are scamming people don't read profiles.

It used to be a place you could vent your problems and people would empathize with you. People are human, we all have problems. If someone is a regular on the site they will go to people who they talk to all the time.
Just recently I had a very serious problem and a CS member came to my rescue many times to help me through it. I will be indebted to her forever for the help and understanding she gave me.
In 2005 I was taken for a lot of money and wrote about it on CS at the time. And the person wasn't an online scammer. I knew him in high school. CS may not be the same as it was years ago but people still bleed red. So why not have a kind thing to say to her.
