A sad time for the world as a whole
I don't at times give a damn about who their presidents are..after all it says you got the président you merit..but America is capable of creating chaos all over..and we arrived at a time wherein a lot are preparing how to tackle them..well..history shows how many great men were assasinated all over...?
kidatheart: I dunno, after following US politics for 30 years, I do see this election as being different than anything else ever put before the public. This shows what a sham it all actually is, and this also reflects on our own elections here in Canada last year, federally and provincially. Could be the same around the world, and I suspect it is, but this US election really drives it home, at least for me.
I'm just here for the commentary though, not to change the world.
Winds of change are blowing alright , here to . Us sick of the right Mitt mongrels and don't much like commies either . A woman Republican was saying while she waited in line to vote today , last time she lined up there were three people waiting . This time hundreds . Trump has energised this election , both for and against him . Voters who have never voted are involved , that's a good thing .
Apathy seems to be the rule, everyone says "The politicians are all the same, so why bother" but in the USA I would have expected a better understanding of the responsibility to keep the likes of Clinton/Trump, out of the running.
Kid: hijack away, you make some good points, and while not about Rubio, it does matter to the world in general who controls each major country.
My concern is not that the walls won't be built or immigrants banned, but that a person with no diplomacy, no ability to mediate, and who shoots first and asks questions later, could control the most powerful country in the world. And that is terrifying, when you look at the leaders in Asia.

what a sincere, inspirational concession speech marco gave last night to america. it should have resonated whether you are a democrat or republican. i believe he cares deeply about where the conservative movement is headed and the systematic desecration of the party trump is responsible for. marco felt so strongly about leading this country and it's a shame he couldn't build a base to support his platform.
if trump wins, he will appoint specialists with the ability to mediate and set up diplomacy. the real power in america is in the congress. if congress thinks trump is becoming dangerous, they simply won't approve of his policies. congress also has the ability to impeach with a two thirds vote if he should get "out of hand"

Agreed, but will they do it? Look how many here on CS have called for Obama to be impeached, secondly, impeachment means doing something unlawful, causing a third world war is not breaking the law if Trump decides to press the button to punish China, thirdly, If, as so many republicans have said, Obama has rewritten laws, what is to stop Trump doing the same? Impeaching is fine if a law is to be broken, but how do you stop an egotistical idiot like Trump from punching Putin on the nose, once its done its too late!!

are you sure you're a teacher? if you are, i hope you're not trying to teach how our government works to your chinese students.
perhaps putin likes trump because he's not afraid to punch him on the nose. and if diplomacy wasn't going to work between the two, a good old fashion fist fight is better than sending out fighter jets and "pushing buttons"

The CS call to impeach Obama ? HAHA, off the grid outsiders and a few tiny cults of brain pickled moonshiners dont really count.

Actually Bill was voted to be impeached in the House. The SEnate had nowhere near the required 66 percent. Most of the republicans voting to impeach were banging their taxpayer paid personal secretaries anyway. They shouldve been exiled for their hypocrisy and waste of taxpayer money.
Afterthought- the republican head of the Bengazi committee to get Hilary admitted on camera he was out to get her at any cost.

I used to hear gripes from CS members about all the USA political chatter which was started by one USAer or another. But, not unlike this thread, that trend may be reversing.

Yes agreed, but now the influence of the USA could have far reaching effects on the rest of the world. I take little interest in Indian politics, but when India has a large and well equipped military and starts flexing it's muscles, then I will sit up and take notice.
I am genuinely worried that the leaders of USA could start something that no one can stop and the annihilation of mankind will occur.

are chineeese borders wide open? ours are due to elitist global orders, you may want to research who pulls the strings here, and who is throwin money around... its not the trumpy nor the cruzer or the the bubble boy rubio. as long as borders are wide open the US has no influence.
