Love the intestinal fortitude of a good chili...have exhausted most of my recipes....got a good one? (Please,...no recipes that include aviation fuel, nitroglycerin...or plutonium...unless you have spices to combat the glow!)

I actually like the chili made with several kinds of beans--large red kidney beans and pinto beans, also, add fresh corn-off-the-cob (about 3 large ears) and all the other usual, lean ground beef, tomatoes, etc... and have huge amounts of diced fresh raw onion and shredded cheddar to add at the end. Fresh cut/minced parsley is a nice finish, and it's good for you. JMO

For the best chili gather and mix the following for two servings:

<> 2 McDonald's quarter pounder burgers (wipe everything else off except musturd, cheese and ketchup)
<> 8 Taco Bell hot sauce packets
<> 4 Arby's horsey packets
<> 1 pound of chipotles' beans
<> two table spoons cinnamon
<> two ounces milk
<> four ounces southern comfort

Okay, I have finally quit laughing! These are the kind of details I am seeking. And yup, I used to have a bro (RIP) who would have followed this recipe! Only problem...the nearest Arby's iz 70 miles away! Unless I substitute 4 bottles of Southern Comfort for the packets...??>?

Chili is of Texan origin and I would not recommend it.
I have seen what chili does to some Texans here

Hi Moose I found out that venison makes excellent chili.

I also use a cast iron dutch oven and cook the venison over an open fire too.If one is unable to cook it on an open fire just use a outdoor grill.

I've also made some homemade cornbread on the open fire/outdoor grill too.

Ha Ha! Albertans are often referred to as the Texans of the North...besides, it gets REAL cold up here and a gastronomic feast with heat is always appreciated up here!

It indeed does! As does elk...and gasp...moose!

I was simply hunting for some variants to the chilis I make now....sometimes a new recipe just recharges the tastebuds!
