PlainoldJane: In the last week, I have received 50+ messages. While there was a fair share of 'quick deletes', 'poor grammar' and obvious 'copy and pastes', one message stood out. It addressed a specific component of my profile which seemed to create a sense of comfort. While neither of us are interested in each other and looking for very different things in life, we have had several interesting chats.

Somebody who has obviously read my profile, or made some reference to a post I've made gets a reply.
If they are literate, intelligent, witty, local, correct age-group and physically within my range, then the conversation continues

If they are local, or someone from the forums who I have known for awhile, I will respond. If they are age appropriate for me. If the message says more than HI. If there is a conversation, and no inappropriate requests for personal info....a few more items on the list.
