If you got the news that you had a terminal illness and no one knew how long you had to live, what would you do with your remaining time? Is it the same list as the things you're putting off today?
True, I'm thinking about what's really important to do in a lifetime. Are there any specific goals like climbing a certain mountain or sky-diving or charity...
Be present and available in every minute that is given to you, Share your wealth, (your heart, your mind, your wisdom), Take the rish and DO the random act of kingness, not just read it of others, And live each day as if you do have limited time.....
As the country singer Tim McGraw said, "Live like you were dying." My late husband and I went through that. He was sick and got the news he had a week to a month of life. We had been engaged a year then and immediately got married and he started chemo. There were times during our relationship that he was jealous or we'd have minor arguments but after that, he was not. He realized what was important in life. Our relationship had bumps before that but after, nary a one. Our love was able to blossom to full bloom without any petty bickering. We had 11 months of true wedded bliss before he went to walk with God. I live my life for people now. The dishes can sit if the boys want to play a game of darts with me instead. Given the choice of laundry or going dancing or out with a friend, the friend wins every time. The laundry will wait, the person may not be there tomorrow. Yes, my list would be the same, but only because I've learned it the hard way by losing a love.....
i agree with all you have written as when i lost my husband to suicide. I realise how things can change drastictally in just a moment. So i learnt how to start livin my life as if its my last day on earth, i also taught my kids the same. I have done most of my dreams the last thing on my list now is a bungee jump but that will happen.......

This is something that I am dealing with in reality. Not an illness perse, but the doctors know that my body is shutting down and that it is just a matter of time now.
What I am doing with the remaining time is trying so very hard to spread the word of hope. Don't live for today, but rather live for tomorrow because what you do today is effecting your tomorrow.
My past has caught up to me and if I can save one person from going through this then I have done good.
two bouts with cancer & surgeries, several heart attacks and one heart surgery, many years as a drunk, the 60s, a jungle and several "relationships" . I survived (only the good die young). I will live on forever!!

Yes I have created my own future with the stupid things done in my past. Which is exactly the point I am making.
You and I have to laugh at ourselves just to get us through the day because we have no choice, but the next generation does not have to laugh like we have to laugh now.
The next generation has the power to make a difference.
