It would be great, it'll get the ball rolling
For the rest of us to get out of this rotten
To the core project

I think the EU has been great for Ireland as it helped us come kicking and screaming into the 20th. century with regard to women's rights, right to work and control over their own bodies, gay rights and so on.

Yes of course there is that but just a shame we can't stand on our own two feet

As regards England if they leave it will surley have an impact on Ireland ..England are as we know unindated with immigrants already and more flocking in they are already in a vulnerable position .

We are just a source of resources, the raping
Of our fishing industry one of many examples
Wages have plummeted because of over migration
And there's not enough scrutiny on the migrants
Coming in

Many are criminals and dangerous ones at
That

More negatives by the looks of it the way
It's heading south fast lately

It's a failed project, they cant even do basic
Things now by protecting the borders

the eu may have once been beneficial to ireland but i feel it no longer is. i believe its now just a massive neoliberalist movement and this movement has no intentions of sharing wealth more evenly. i feel the longer it last, the worse the wealth gap will be. its been deeply disturbing to see inequality growing, not just here in ireland but across europe even across the world. its hard to know where it ll end but something is going badly wrong.

im not convinced england will leave though but i guess we ll know for sure in a few weeks. i do think all countries should butt out with 'interfering' with this vote though. how would we like it if other countries were telling us how to vote? is this what democracy is now?

Democracy is a joke as we,ve seen vote
Against them and the just wear people down
By taking the vote again

We were all taught at school what it takes
To make a great country, we have some of
The most fertile land in the world that's not
Being harnessed properly, we have gas and
Oil which we gave away, we had a 200km of
Sea water for fishing that was given away

We are more than capable of being a self
Sufficient country it's a shame we,be lost it

It will be close but I'll say they'll stay in
But it will all unravel eventually

The sooner the better

When we get out we won't be tied into
So called human rights laws that protect
Thieves, criminals and whatever else
More than they protect the honest hard
Working taxpayer

wouldn't really care as long as they didn't reintroduce border controls now that would negatively affect the lives of people who live along the border thumbs down

It will mark the beginning of the end for the EU project. The real issues will come when countries like Italy and Spain start to question the project. Theie decision will include leaving the Euro currency also...that will have a devastating effect on the economies of Europe. There will be no trust in the Euro as a currency if countries start to leave.
Europe needs to change. Germany want an EU which is structured in its image..unfortunately that is impossible. European beliefs relating to fiscal and monetary policy need to change. It is hard to believe that the ECB has absolutely no role in trying to directly combat unemployment in the EU. The so-called European Social Model becomes a farce in a situation where youth unemployment figures of upwards of 50% in certain countries are acceptable....

i do think you could be right here, i.e. the beginning of the end. id say markets will get jittery leading up to this decision but im not convinced they ll leave. the eu needs to change, and fast or its doomed. maybe if they dont leave, it may start forcing change within the union. it ll be interesting to watch. our current monetary policies are not fit for purpose and must be one of the main things to tackle but that wont be easy. i do think if we dont make these changes soon, you can say bye bye to it all. countries have had enough, people have had enough
