Before either Trump or Clinton are called the winner or loser of the Presidential race... the American people have now been given a third party choice. I'm just happy there is another name on the ballot so people will not stay home...
Many others will vote libertarian before voting for Trump or Clinton. Maybe Trump or Clinton will win, but AT LEAST, THE PEOPLE have a choice rather than vote for Trump or Clinton, or write-in, or stay home before voting for either Clinton or Trump.
The Libertarian Party has a presidential candidate: former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson. In recent national polls, Johnson got about 10 percent in a three-way match-up against Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. That 10 percent likely reflects discontent with the main parties' candidates as much as Johnson's popularity.
Now that Johnson's the nominee, he'll be on the ballot in all 50 states. http://www.aol.com/article/2016/05/26/america-is-about-to-have-a-3rd-party-nominee-gary-johnson/21384074/
He is VERY QUALIFIED MORE THAN CLINTON OR TRUMP! Especially, more qualified than Trump! Read his bio and all his accomplishments...
Is this a good or bad candidate for the people? From his bio, he seem to be in agreement with much of what the American people want and are interested in socially and politically ... This would be his third try as a Presidential candidate, theird time is the charm...
ok...ok.. here are a few news tid-bits about Johnson for all you unconnected American voters to help you make up your minds to vote for Johnson...
Johnson is rather offbeat, it seems he roamed the convention halls at the Libertarian convention in a suit, tie and Nike sneakers. In the years since his last presidential run, Johnson served as CEO of a cannabis company, though he has pledged not to use marijuana in the White House, if elected...too funny he's sure to get elected!
If all goes according to plan for Johnson in the coming months, he said that he would be in a position to plant a kiss on Trump’s cheek during a debate this fall, as he has to other rivals in the past. “It’s perfect. No, I’m serious. It’s perfect,” Johnson told POLITICO. “It is the most disarming gesture. You know, treat the bully with love.”
Johnson has already landed his lips on an opponent once this cycle (and he kissed this reporter on the cheek to end an interview after he was asked about his debate-kissing habit). At a Libertarian debate earlier this month, Johnson walked over and kissed McAfee as he was being quizzed about his Belizean rap sheet (it included being a “person of interest” in his neighbor’s murder and a fugitive)...you go Johnson!

Ann Ryand :
“Libertarians”
¶ For the record, I shall repeat what I have said many times before: I do not join or endorse any political group or movement. More specifically, I disapprove of, disagree with, and have no connection with, the latest aberration of some conservatives, the so-called “hippies of the right,” who attempt to snare the younger or more careless ones of my readers by claiming simultanteously to be followers of my philosophy and advocates of anarchism. Anyone offering such a combination confesses his inability to understand either. Anarchism is the most irrational, anti-intellectual notion ever spun by the concrete-bound, context-dropping, whim-worshiping fringe of the collectivist movement, where it properly belongs.

I believe the current Libertarian candidate has declared himself closest to Bernie Sanders. A right wing fanatic calling himself a socialist. God it makes me think twice about mans right to vote.
Nope; can't do it. No one I know can do it. Follows conservative concepts with socialist twists. There has to be a foundation. Libertarian doesn't hold one except no harm to others and THAT can be debatable.
Qualifications in politics just means they have the experience to lie and screw the people better.
The concepts of less government, life, freedom, and greater control of the people over their lives is the same as conservatism(less spending) or what republican used to be. What we really need are the jobs markets less regulated and less taxed. Our constitution and laws followed. Our education, military, and legal systems fixed back into, much better working order.....etc. Primary needs and pushes for "Libertarian" to get peoples' attention.
The platform of libertarian is much more broad, questionable, and opens doors that would be better, left limited; maybe even closed. Instead of socialism, which controls, limits, and redistributes every thing; think the exact opposite in which personal property rights are given to every thing, and you have the right to defend yours,(even though as long is it doesn't harm any one, you live the way you want). It is the rise of anarchy. Because it can be such a broad form of "freedom?" and "rights", it leaves too much that can be twisted in the mind of each person as they see fit. A free will that can go amuck. Just what the government needs to cause more chaos over and above the present.
We need less government and it's control, with out a doubt. We still need solid guidelines and foundations to stand on. Actual goals to work on and achieve. "Rights" could easily spill over into a free for all. It could happen quickly or continually be drug out forever like the attempts at socialism. I don't think we need new laws for every little detail(which libertarian claims to negate). obama's "gender, bathroom" issues could be used as a good indicator of things still waiting to be "regulated" or "deregulated", under libertarian. Physical truth always seemed so simple over all of these years.
