Try to get your life back together in whatever way you can, with whatever help you can get.
Once you have done that, you will find things like dating easier.

That, unfortunately will not be an easy thing to achieve. Economics 101 tells us that resources are scarce wherever we go. The rich man wants more, even though he is going to die and leave most of it behind. People start wars for selfish reasons. People think they don't have enough and see others as encroaching on what is theirs.
We have to try to find love in our own heart most of all. I hope that when I die the worms will not be deprived. They will welcome me with joy. That is all I expect, unless some cheapskate decides to give me the cheaper alternative.

If your life seems off kilter right now maybe you should take time to work on it and not finding a soul mate or dating. It sounds as if you are having transition woes. I find the hardest thing in life is for me to take time to work on me. But it is also the best thing. Start trying to make friends. Join a group, not on line. Volunteer to help in your community. The way I see it, being a refugee is a dehumanising experience.
You lose your home, your job, maybe your family.
You lose control over your life and many of your basic human rights; you lose much of your identity.
I don't see those things as a reason for regarding refugees as being less than human and, yes I would date someone with refugee status. There would certainly be plenty to talk about.

although i dont believe you are a refugee, (psychology teach us to read more than what is "claimed" - picture, subject that you choose, etc), yes, i would date a refugee .
