NZ dairy farmers have undoubtedly been affected by the sanction's .Peters is requesting that trade with Russia should take place inspite of Europe's sanction's . EU has never been our friend as far as trade goes , so trading with Russia should take place .

Certainly Putin would agree

Vladimir Putin used a keynote address in his home city of St. Petersburg this weekend to outline his belief that America uses NATO to drive a wedge between the EU and Russia. Instead, he offered an alternative vision for European unity.

Ten cities across the world are hosting a week of events dubbed “First they came for Assange,” featuring Noam Chomsky, Slavoj Zizek, Yanis Varoufakis and Patti Smith, among others. It marks four years of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s detention.

As of June 19, Assange has been deprived of his freedom for 2,022 days.

mickyj777: Is it just me but when that rich right wing liberal PM tells Aussies who we should and shouldn't vote for yeah right.
Ok I was a labor voter it's in my blood voted for them for years .
I swapped voted greens having second thoughts
But when the PM says you can't vote for Nick what's his name makes me think I might change again . Cause I vote greens it's labor
Nick whats his name can take 22 percent of my state from the liberals and labour makes you think .
Yes I've thought Nick is a nut job in the past but when the big wigs say no that means yes

7 days later and this thread has been hijacked away from a crappy political discussion.

Okay, we have a rich Liberal PM who made his fortune running a very successful business enterprise. He is trying to tell us to vote for him and his mates as they have run successful businesses.

Then we have a left-wing so-called socialist Opposition Leader telling us we should vote for him because we are workers and he knows what is best for us. "The Liberal bosses know nothing about how to manage economics."

Where are our past PMs and party faithful leaders?

Tony is on his bike (literally)...he has been involved in a charity bike ride raising money for men's mental health issues.

Kevin is ... um..... ummm .....is...have not heard much but maybe the missus has now managed to get more business since he has been on the dole. Hope she has managed to find him a job that is not as humiliating as some of us find dealing with these job agencies and CentreUnlinked.

Juliar is heading up some foreign orphan welfare organisation her govt gave lots of money to.

Kevin is...okay still don't know

Simon C who so much said how big business should pay workers before thinking of making any money to keep their business viable is now.....go find out who he is now representing.

Johnny is probably glad to be out of all of this and taking his daily walks without any security

Paul is probably still wearing his Armani suits and dusting off his French antique clocks

Bob oh my god, did all that beer preserve him enough to afford after an annual salary of $150,000 to buy his $2 million Vaucluse property to bulldoze it and erect a $4million small dwelling (it is Sydeney).

I still find it rather strange that the PM is telling south Australians who to vote for .
And the seat of Grey ( not my seat ) may fall to the Xenophon party it was shown on the news
A very very very very safe liberal seat could suddenly after decades and decades not be liberal any more .
I think Wash is not seeing what I posted .
Why is a liberal party PM telling south Australians don't cite Xenophon .
Why is the Labour Party in south Australia copying the poster colours of the Xenophon party .
I have no clue I guess the liberals are not doing this in the rest of the country . I guess the liberals loosing 22 percent of the vote hurts them controling the entire parliament .

Wash I'm sorry your not seeing what I posted . It must be a south Australian thing.
Funny how a poor state of Australia with a high unemployment rate is suddenly worrying the liberal party

A seat held here for over fifty years fell in a by-election . A lot of corruption had crept in , political and police , some still being dealt with or just finished .

Personally I think the liberals are drinking their own cool aid in my state .
Australia is not just NSW or VIC but it seems that like the world most politicians don't get it .
This state is run by a labor govt who should have lost the last state election . But when the liberal state leader says vote labor so they did .

Once again those silly people that vote the rich people into power and then they cut down the poor the working poor and by the sounds of it middle class .
When will they learn
Jun 20, 2016 12:20 AM CST The Aussie election
between them they learned already

all both major parties need to do is talk about jobs, school any subject will do, infrastructure and health.
All other subjects are a no no, and the usual full of self interest dumb voters will insure the major parties get over the line.

To do otherwise would be political suicidal as most voters get up early hurriedly eat an unhealthy breakfast, jump in the car and drive on jammed packed freeways with a nice comfortable tarred surface, drop snotty nose off, and clock into some meaningless task that takes all day, pick tired little gem, slot back into the fast lane with the same dumb pricks you cursed for an hour early in morgan, darling I'm home, how was the milkmen and plumber today love...

The PM said on the news he will not privatise Medicare which means when he is voted back in
He will privatise it .
Then he goes on about the thing to decide about gay marriages . Why just let them get married who does it hurt no one .
And that liberal add with the So called worker blaming the Labour Party really I wear a bracelet I'd never wear it to work you couldn't in that line of work .
Liberals lost the plot
Jun 20, 2016 5:04 AM CST The Aussie election
you only just worked out they lost the plot Micky?

the only plot they got going is the salary of $500,000 per year plot...

Whole bloody process is affected by a form of madness or insanity, always has been. For a moment consider this Micky. Two dud get hold of all the news media and tell everyone how they gunner spend millions here and zillions here there and every where, hoping you'll vote for them in an election that is supposed to be electing people to represent your views on the floor of parliament or senate.
The grossly dishonest duds waving the carrot of spending money here there or where ever, are spending the peoples money in that way without asking or been directed by electors to spend the money or anything else.
Its all crazy an insanity so don't for get to vote accordingly

mickyj777: I think you living in Sydney you need to know there is more to Australia than Sydney or Melbourne .

Ok, no need to be rude or clever about it.

My statement was intended as an eye opener. Not as a 'who to vote for in your state'.
What is it with these SA or TAS people anyway ... So uptight about us easterners, we cant even say anything before it gets into a "you think you guys only exist, what about us" argument. lol

I'm sincerely sorry for not knowing who will not be on your ballot paper but my friend I am in the NSW business.

If you believe that in some way or form ALL politicians do not send the message "Don't vote for the other guy" our conversation is done here!

Of course they will tell you who to vote or NOT to vote for. Some just do it straight forward (my kind of way I respect) others do it in sneakier ways.

Nick Xenophon is of the highest quality politician we have from whats available even though I disagree with a lot of his decisions.

I was hardly being rude or clever
That's the way you came across I still don't get the PM who couldn't loose the election telling the public not to vote for an independent party . I gues when independents get in the liberal rich can't control the countries working poor more than they already do .

I have spent more than 30 years working as a part-time employee of the Aust Electoral Commission. Part of the conditions was to be non-partisan and it influence voters."

I hate Laboring for a number of reasons...

1... they introduced the Family Law Act and the Child Support Agency but have never done anything to improve some of us suffering the worst consequences that resulted. Even though the Hawke Govt suggested so many improvements that following Lib Govts managed to introduced. More more of those recommendations of the of the 80s & 90s that need to be done.

2... they conspired with the Union I was in to siphon $650 million from my Super fund. Laboring and the unions do not want workers to be able to retire...keep on working until you cark it is their motto.
