ziggy67: Do you always get upset when someone makes a joke about a character in a book of fiction????
Watched Muhammad Ali recently speaking to Students, he held up a glass said if I was to say That this glass just appeared, nobody made it You'd say I was mad and rightly so, yet people Believe a masterpiece like this planet just happened
How right he was, the recent cracking of the DNA code points strongly toward intelligent Creation but only someone with intelligence Could grasp that

May I suggest that you study for a Degree and then a Masters in Theology - You will find if you attend a meeting of a thousand Theologists as I did once, as an agnostic guest during the time I was studying for my History degree, that none of them agree on the subject and that Humour and taking the mickey is part and parcel. I enjoyed the gig argued with several ex-service Padre's, Vicars and Canon's of all faiths and we respected each others views - and the humour. -
One of the Canons joked - If you got a thousand Theologists together in a big enough room there would be an out of tune cacophony of sound and a war as none of them would agree about God.
A couple of ex RAF Padre's were there and they appreciated mine as they knew exactly what trade I served as and what it was like working in the 1950's at the Central Fighter Establishment. - Every Fighter we had in the air then was represented. Our Ground and Aircrew humour was hilarious and had to be for our nations 24 on 24 off 2 week simulated war exercises, especially on the development squadrons on one of which I served and about which we are still not supposed to mention specifics.
BUT I can tell you like a certain Bishop, now elevated, said at the gig, I'm sure "God" would have seen the humour of all the services and civillians too for that matter as irreverent and slightly blasphemous but necessary, for morale during world wars one, two, and since.
