This sport is growing in popularity here in the states. I think women's soccer is more popular. For me, however, I think it is almost as boring as watching a PGA golf tournament on tv.
Maybe if they played this sport as rough as ice-hockey, I could appreciate the game more.

You're probably not aware but there is an equivalent competition going on in your continent called the "copa America ". The USA beat Ecuador 2-1 to reach the semi finals.

I hope both sides and their supporters get to let off a sufficient amount of boat flares and sing an adequate number of songs and chants, so everybody has a great time and nobody gets hurt. If there's a game of soccer as well then thats good, but it will probably be one-nil or a draw as usual.

Take Yugoslavia for example.. Since the split, the independent countries have done better as individual nations , with countries like Serbia , Croatia , Slovenia & Bosnia all doing better as a result.. Maybe the togetherness of a nation brings out the best in them.

No , because the scots hate the English , the welsh hate the English , basically , everyone hates the English , so there will never be unity in the camp with that kind of segregation involved.
