I could also use an OCD sweeper. I can't let something just be on the kitchen counter, it has to be squared off with the wall.

My bookshelf 90% of the books are laying down so I can read the titles if they are horizontal on the book spine. Other books stand up if the title is vertical doh

Things have to be where they belong in my house.

It doesn't affect my lifestyle negatively but it I see something out of place it will bother me.

However, when I do laundry I used to be fussy when I folded clothes to put them away. Not anymore. Now I fold them but they aren't perfect.

Neither am I joy

Lil, I have seen those programmes where an OCD cleaner goes into the house of a hoarder and does the cleaning for them. They are both supposed to learn from the experience. The OCD to learn to let go a bit, to chill. And the hoarder to learn to not hoard, and do regular cleaning.

Do you get that over there?

I have this one of many rules about my life. Visit a friend and don't judge the house, the person their life. Now, I will expect the same thing from others!!

It sounds like you have a very nice home.

I think being orderly and having things handy and convenient is a good thing. What I think is obsessive is this growing need to label everyone. Have you ever watched Dr. Phil? He seems to categorize everybody, pigeon hole everybody. No one could ever be perfect enough to "fit" this guy's (and others like him) itinerary of what makes someone 'normal'. I think we need to stop tagging people. JMO

Mollyprofessor

Yes thats exactly what I developed over the years of cleaning

The worst places I found.......were....hotels?motels...suitesdoh

Ohh man..it made me take a good look around and change my ways of cleaning

I use nothing but vinegar and baking soda for cleaning!

Jeez...I had to go clear across the room to figure what that waslaugh

No more cleaners I use...long time now...I could not go into a hoarders place!

I do buy one cleaning product alright. It's called Lilly's Eco Clean Degreaser. It's made locally, and is great.

I hate all the chemicals and sprays that some people use. They are killers.

I am VERY organized to the point that I cross reference things

I think the 2 of you should come over to my place on a 'holiday ' and cross reference everything.

I'll leave the vinegar and labels out, and I'll just leave you to it! laugh
