Socialism doesn't work as shown in Venezuela. Then again a lot of South Americans seem to believe in Socialism as they are fierce lazy.

More than seven million voters have taken part in an opposition-organised referendum in Venezuela, according to academics monitoring the poll.

Yesterday, a general strike stopped Venezuela, some days after a referendum in which 98% of voters chose to reject the proposed constitutional assembly; request the military defend the existing constitution; and support fresh elections before Maduro's term ends in 2019.

In addition, Maduro urged Trump not to follow the meddling path of his predecessor Barack Obama, but warned that if a foreign incursion into his territory, he would be prepared to fight. Politically, it's chaotic: the regime prohibited from leaving Venezuela to the general attorney, for denouncing the "state terrorism" in Venezuela. The Venezuelan Supreme Court (controlled by the Chavist), take its powers to the National Assembly (in the hands of the opposition), on the charge of Contempt for failure to comply with several rulings.
