This is exactly why connectingsingles needs a high five when it comes to online dating as it's so good!
Why, because (unlike CS) there are many dud dating sites out there and one should always be alert at all times!
TF sadly appears to have turned to just a 'VISA CATCHER' money maker by generating fake profiles.
It's actually so blatant, you'll get the same girl/woman dressed in different clothes but pretending to be different people!
Not that it's really a laughing matter - but watch out if you recently visited Thailand (or are/were going) and thinking of using the net to help find someone special there.
Remember the internet can at times be NOT all it appears to be!
Stay safe and above all keep your wallet closed at all times!
...and finally if you run an ad-blocker (to stop burning up your bandwidth!) why not switch it off while you browse CS, so those who help support the website with ads get their products shown.
You will I'm sure find ads worth clicking on, AND that's gonna benefit your wallet not damage it!

TF will not ask for passports - VISA (in my post) relates to VISA credit cards, not passport or visa - BUT having said that you should try and view 'The Embassy" which is about Australians in Thailand. I can't find anything on youtube yet, but there must be video links somewhere?
Thailand is a wonderful country and it's people are generally great too, but like Mexico and other places some see tourists as 'rich' and thus an easy target.
One person was deeply involved with a Thai girl and after he spent quite a lot of money on her (NOT all but sadly many Thai girls/women are just after cash) when the guy then refused to pay for anything further, he found his girl stole his passport and demand he pay her a huge ransom to get it back!
A passport is a very valuable document in Thailand etc, and can be resold to forgers so look after it. Also it belongs to your government NOT you, so remember anyone demanding a ransom for a passport has just broken the law and in Thailand the Thai police WILL help you, should that happen.
Thailand is also awash with other scams: Jet ski rentals where you can hire a boat - but when bringing it back the hirer will then say that you damaged it and now owe him money. DO NOT HIRE A JET SKI
If you are riding in a Tuk Tuk be sure to HUG your bag tight so it doesn't get stolen as you ride along. Also, if your Tuk Tuk driver seems more interested in talking on a mobile while driving, he may be planning a hit-raid on you (down a quiet side street with his mates), so be aware of that!
Back to Thaifriendly, many use that site for hookups and it's OK providing you use the 10min delay block on sending messages, as that's free. Virtually all have mobiles there now and if genuine will give you their direct number for whatsapp/viber/line/tango etc so you can then txt, or call directly and then it's easy to either verify who they are or indeed meet up and check. You can of course pay the site fees, but be sure you understand there are fakes there.
Clear fakes running were girl44, gip44, (same person) but I've now lost the feed from the TF site as my investigation into it resulted in the admin pulling the plug on me. Bypassing that block I did regained entry into the site, and for a while that worked until the running administration checking the stats (the site is all javascript based so everything you do while logged in is tracked) and from that they must have got my IP and realised entry had been gained yet again and blocked it.
Save the girls pics and run a reverse search, other tips are if the sender only writes short replies and doesn't seem to 'respond' to your messages like a person should, or seems distant somehow, they are possibly fake.
One quote from a girl there.... "Not every girls on this site is all bad one! Have good n bad like guys here too have good n bad just depend in luck or win lotto maybe anyway I'm straight n honest kind of person"
(She was found after some basic online tests to also be using a fake profile)

another UPDATE! ...thankfully during teatime at 16:00!
Interesting! Sudden message from girl44 profile with a line ID. Also, my TF account is restored (well well, now I wonder what happened to cause that!) - anyway I'll try line and see what's up.
As i have access back again I did a search for gip44 - site javascript says "Either this user has been deleted, this profile does not exist, or this user has blocked you."
(so looks like that duff profile has now..... gone)

Conrad73: really smart cluing in Scammers on how they get sussed out!
Oh don't worry, each trap varies so any scammer won't know how or when they'll get caught, they just will - sometime, someplace, someday!
This info just gives an overview of being watched - and to all of those who don't get out much into the real world to 'get with it', see how a catch was done and hopefully teach them to be more careful about who they trust online.
