French President Francois Hollande expressed extreme revulsion at Donald Trump’s “excesses” in the U.S. presidential campaign and warned against the authoritarian tone adopted by the Republican nominee and billionaire reality-television celebrity.
“In the U.S., one of the world’s great democracies, maybe the greatest democracy, where democracy was born, before the French one, we see some excesses that are sickening,” Hollande said in Paris during the annual meeting with the presidential press.
Particularly, Hollande added, when Trump “speaks ill of a soldier, of the memory of a soldier,” an allusion to his feud with the parents of Capt. Humayun Khan, a Muslim-American soldier killed in Iraq in 2004. Hollande and Trump have already swapped barbs, most recently when the real-estate mogul said in the aftermath of a string of terror attacks on France that he would not visit the country because “France is no longer France.” Hollande responded his country would stay true to its values.
In his comments to French journalists, Hollande this time did not hold back his disdain and dismay at the prospect of a Trump White House: “If the American people choose Trump it will have consequences worldwide because the U.S. is a global economy,” he told a hotel conference room of 66 reporters over drinks.

Donald Trump: France is no longer France Presidential nominee says rise in terror attacks has changed France, and the US is going the same way. By PAUL DALLISON 7/27/16, 5:35 PM CET Updated 7/28/16, 12:39 PM CET Donald Trump launched another broadside against Europe on Wednesday, saying “France is no longer France” because of the recent terror attacks.
Speaking about a rise in Islamist terrorism, the U.S. Republican presidential nominee said in Florida: “It’s only going to get worse, and it’s going to start getting bad in our country. We’re letting people come in by the tens of thousands.”
“You see what happened to the French priest. A friend of mine, he said he was going to France like three or four months ago. I saw him yesterday. I said how did you like France? He said, I wouldn’t go to France … Because France is no longer France.”
“They won’t like me for saying that, but you see what happened in Nice, you see what happened yesterday with the priest, who is supposed to be a spectacular man. France is no longer France. And this world better be very careful and they better get very tough and very smart, and they’ll never do it with Hillary Clinton.”

Hollande should have spent his time more on making sure no terrors strike his country again and again. He could start with paying less his hair stylist and donate it for a good cause.

JoyCrest: Right, he's the most unpopular president in French history. In fact
Putin is more popular in France than him. He did not like the comments
of Trump that France is no longer France or something about the
security, but it's totally true! My hotel was in the 18th
arrondisement, and I saw lots of refugees in the squares, mendicants
at the Metro Station. Even at the Champs Elysee, a most beautiful
boulevard, I saw refugee like young people asking for money, It was
never like this before. Hollande is the greatest hypocrite of
France! Though the beauty of the countries in Europe will
not change, the people who does not respect life will affect Europe.
To be fair Paris looked like it was teeming with refugees before the refugee crisis. Swarthy beggars all the way down the Champs Elysee the last time I was there.

Red, was there this May, it is still well loved by tourists but due to
colonizing Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and other African countries,
they have accepted Muslims and are tolerant. But the infiltration of
American politicians spend there entire careers poking there nose into other countries affairs. I am sure the average American even gets fed up with it.

not likely . France has always meddled in America , does not excuse Hollande now . Every Islamic attack drives a nail into his leadership and those same attacks make Trumps comments over Islamists look better . And Mr's B Clinton wants to build "bridges" for the same Islamic mongrel dogs to destroy the US from the inside ?? issues seem clear from a distance .
