I had a business meeting in Madrid 10 years ago and had one afternoon free, so I took a quick tour of the Prado.
On the front sidewalk, there were cute watercolor paintings of cats by a local artist. I brought it safely home, put in a lovely frame, and I think of Spain every time I see it.

That is lovely. It has a softness about it. It doesn't matter to me what the art is, if I like it, then I like it! When I paint I just go with what is from inside me at the time.

I remember the day I did this work so well, I was sitting in a room overlooking the ocean, inspired, and the moment that brush hit the paper it just happened
I rarely expose my artwork as it is a form of personal expression for me and seems to come in times of intense emotion and quite often introspection

I often visit flea markets, browsing, getting lost in the beauty of African art. It is incredibly fascinating and remarkable as for the most part, these artists are illiterate.
