Hurricane Matthew is working it's way up the coast of the U.S.

Destruction in Florida, several dead

Areas of South Carolina are flooded

My daughter lives in North Carolina on an island. Her street is flooded, sewer is backed up and can't flush the toilet uh oh

They moved their cars off the island. Their house is on stilts because they live in walking distance to the ocean but there is water under the house and it's still raining.sigh

Worries for mom help

Thank you Vinny. She is emailing me but if they lose power she won't be able to charge the phone or iPad.

This past summer there was an alligator on the mainland. I hope if they walk down to a neighbor's house to use the bathroom they don't meet up with something in the street water that could be dangerous.

Since the house is on stilts her husband could probably stand on the deck and aim over the side. Knowing my daughter she would probably squat on the deck and let the rain wash it away. doh

@ minni.
The poll that was quickly wiped off the face of the earth, was a "tongue in cheek" poll, considering the amount of people getting upset by their absence, I posted a poll to lighten up the spirit of those who didn't make the grade.

no worries, all good! cool
I went by names I saw coming up on the threads mainly, no particular order! so no need for anyone to take offence as none was intended. I think most didn't though, in fairness to them! grin

I'm sure your intentions were good, but you always get the odd one, who feels left out.. It's just human nature.
