2intrigued: GG flipped the coin and got tails.

Ultimately, the decision is yours but Monte makes a valid point in her post and I personally would prefer a place with a garage and the balcony with a view. Sleep on it Galrads.

I agree with the garage and balcony apartment .... i don't know if I can adjust to dealing with seeing and dealing with much older people there on a daily basis.

I wouldn't rush into anything. You want to live somewhere you are happy with. wave

I live in apartments where older people live, particularly women ... a few men, and it's a freaken nightmare for several reasons.

Knowing a little bit about you Galrad, I don't think you would like it.

Also ask yourself how you would feel about having kids playing in the hallway making a lot of noise. wave

Hi, Happygolucky4u..... I know I shouldn't rush but I have only have limited time for possession of my home which I've sold last week. being able to schedule a mover is getting critical at this point as well.

If you are on a time constriction my suggestion is to put all your furniture in a storage facility until you find the apartment that floats your boat.

Find a furnished apartment where you could live month to month with no lease.

I definitely wouldn't like kids playing in the hallways. being on the 4th of five floors I would hope the kids would at least stay in the lobby areas.

I don't have a problem with kids because they aren't allowed in this building laugh because it's a senior building which means anyone over 55.

However, Trigs has mentioned the problem with noisey kids in her building on the floor she lives on.

secretagent09: Where I live isn't anything like you described. It's just subsidized living apartments. It's not a nursing home

When I move there are a few things that will be deal breakers, the most important ones are a window over the kitchen sink, a screened-in porch and near the ocean because I love the ocean.

A single family home is better for me then multiple dwelling and I might be looking for that next year.

Is this where you are thinking of moving to?

It's kind of a crap shoot with your choices but if it were me having to choose, I'd go with the one that has a garage and balcony because these are personal advantages. The rest can easily be ignored. giggle Besides, you're much too young to be taking up residence in a seniors building. professor

Just butting in, me, 75 next month, and won`t have a bar of oldies, no way, still reckon I`ma 50 yr old, got a 3 b/room house out in the sticks, no neighbours, just me, cat and dog, and goldfish, and nature, sure gets a bit lonely at times, thats the price of peace and solitude...
