Indeed. If aggressiveness is a personality characteristic rather that a legitimate situational response (like facing the front row of the All Blacks) it would not indicate a 'strong' person (although we still haven't come to an agreed definition of 'strong') but rather a nasty person (and I can define 'nasty' is anyone is in doubt)
What is your definition of a 'strong woman' Molly? Is it the same as a 'strong man' or 'strong person' or does adding 'woman' to it mean something different and if not they why make such a gender distinction?

I don't think anyone wants to hear about your private life. I know I certainly don't. But here, I'll give you an example of the sort of thing that I would think makes a strong person.
Someone who when confronted with devastating emotional trauma picks themselves up and carries on. Someone who can maintain their physical, emotional and psychological well-being through the many difficulties of life. Someone who is not driven into a flap by little things.
I think a strong person would know these things like a bird knows about preening it's feathers. You don't need to explain these things to a strong person.
I have seen strong people bear suffering and adversity with heroic stoicism and I have seen the passive-aggressive bullies claim the title strong for themselves as a cover for their bossy bully behavior. Words are easily spent and the honour due to other easily stolen.Stop thief!
