the bird is a magpie,

if you double click on the image on computer new tab loads then you can read the file, not all but most will display species name.

am trying the new camera, lost all the images i took yesterday with it...errr

good to see your Ok

wave Sorry Rob, got really bizzy with life herecomfort

Thanks for your concern, yep, all is well. It was a wicked storm though, got some video, just havent gone thru it to edit them yet.
Cooler out now here thank goodness!
I really like the new pics with that camera, cant believe how detailed they arelove
Your magpies are much more prettier than ours here laugh
Showed my gal your pics here(who is an artist drawing as well) she was absolutely delighted!
Although I taught her all I knew she is much better than I ever was at drawing.
She does murals on people's walls(also has her own painting company) in their homes of whatever they desireheart wings

So proud of her talent....you have quite a talent with your camera though.grin wave

Dunno about red army ants, don't think so, however that Bull ant he will brings tears to your eyes, also there is a jumping ant that bites further north. that Blue ant below I think is actually a wasp whatever its sting is supposed to hurt heaps to. The other one carrying wattle pod will bite to. There are tiny black ants that swam on you and you certainly know they are biting you. The other Meat Ant in first post don't think he bites.

Welcome to come and see Roo's any time Lilith wave

The old Olympus camera again froze up in the snow yesterday, its only two years old, supposed to be freeze proof etc.errr
Think I'm happy with the new camera, saving lens information seems to have don'e trick. The OM-D E-M1 mk11 camera certainly gathers more detail, seems to be focusing ok. It likes lots of light which is probably it's biggest draw back. The ISO settings function different from the OM-D E-M1, like in ISO 800 doesn't seem to preforming at all in low light so yesterday i just fired away with the ISO Auto setting producing mixed results. Manage to save few of the Golden Whistler but none of another bird i took few shots of.
Its lot faster but not capturing as much clear detail as i'd expected, close up yes, but the jury is sill out on that thus subject...maybe i need to change more settings somewhere...takes quite a while to fine turn...

Thank you for the welcome Robcomfort
Funny thing is in my younger years, it was Australia I always wanted to see one day.
Read a book about it in school and thought it was all so intriguing grin

Glad you like the new camera..they take awhile to get the settings the way you want them.
But all your pics are lovely, I really enjoy the details in them..
Hope its not too cold there, stay warm and safe...comfort

I collected stamps from different parts of the world, but I did have an old world map years ago, the kind of book with the old binding? I carried it around for many years, used it to teach my gals to widen their view of earth.
Mounties are so the 'cat's meow' as we say here LOL.
I grew up next door to the Mi’kmaq tribe down east, learned a ton of things, cooking etc.

Hahaha...like your humor Rob rolling on the floor laughing head banger

The new pics are much clearer eh? Beautiful birds! peace wave

We had couple days around -6 otherwise hasn't been to bad, further up the mountain they about 2 meters of snow, which doesn't exactly interest your scribe.
Spring is in the air, the wattle trees are flowering and the birds nesting...be hot soon.wave
