UGH !! Most awful "music" ever recorded.
I hate it because it's not music. It's just ranting with foul language, it's about kill, kill, kill somebody. It's hate music.
Ice-T wrote a rap song about killing cops. Time Warner produced it. When mail came to my mailbox at home that was from Time Warner I returned it to TM and they had to pay the postage. A lot of people in the U.S. did that and eventually Time Warner pulled the song so that it was no longer available.
BTW, Ice-T plays a cop on Law & Order, Special Victims Unit.

I don't think all Rap is like that though, I agree not all of the messages are easy to hear. But I like the music in the songs I have chosen as my own, and value the messages...there is a lot out there that is inspirational too, interesting and thought provoking...sad...funny. I think I value the touch to all emotions.

Because it has strayed away from talent. The art of singing is
not there, which makes it easy for anyone to do it from a five
year and up. Also, there are no musicians present in modern day
recordings. imo.

I do believe it is like most things beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As a young girl I spent summers with my grandparents. They lived on the out skirts of a reservation. I remember falling to sleep to the sounds of tribal music and prayers. I found it very soothing where early settlers must of found it frightening and different. Isn't the world an awesome concoction of differences.

Hello! Well, there is sometimes interjection of musical voice (singing) and background singing. But definitively it is "rap." So no, singing is not the focus. Quite agree. We listen in a different way to each , in my opinion.
As for no musicians, the background music has to come from somewhere, please observe: The lead guitar and percussion, here, is some of the best anywhere, in my opinion
