If they are to have kids with someone, he should be ready and able to take good care of both wife and kids until the kids grows up. Wives cannot take good care of their kids and at the same time earn as much money as they would earn if they were on their own.

I brought up my children, until they finished university and were self sufficient, unfortunately some fathers abandon their responsibilities and leave it to the taxpayers to raise their children.

Good for you, likewise I am a woman, a mother of 3, two of which I have put through university already on my own, the third will get the same support, its what parents do.
I have yet to get one penny from their father to support them, that is a reflection on him, yet I do not generalise nor do I judge other men because of my own experiences.
I do what I have to do for my kids, simple.
I neither need nor want a meal ticket, not all the money in the world would make it worth it to be beholding to another.
Oh and I have a career also
Not all dads abandon their kids, lots of amazing dads out there doing their best.
