I often wonder why people join a dating site, when they have no intention of finding a partner.. Hopefully , in time , the politically motivated will fade away & give genuine people, with lives, the opportunity to share some of their "real life" experiences.

Not at all, it won't fade away
Until political threads are removed to a different area, they will continue to push their agenda
It is kinda hard to read body language on a dating site
So their words, style of writing, tone of writing, consistency, signs of intelligence, sense of humour etc are my markers.
I was kinda leaning towards a real life situation..
On a dating site, people have time to answer, even google information, before giving an reply. That may give a false impression that they are both intelligent & humorous, which my not be the case when faced with a real life situation

I recall when a certain two people had made comments in regards to their relationship and a certain somebody made a big deal about it.Gee I wonder who that person could've been.

I'm all for a good romance & happy ending, but it got to point of being nauseating.
One2note: Of someone you took a shine to?? Are you good at reading body language?
I do nothing to gain someone's attention, even if I find them really interesting... I need few minutes to understand the character and even predict what the person will say... That's in real life, when it comes to virtual life I don't get hooked on the intelligent mails I (rarely) get, the boring part is that very soon they get tired of pretending to be something else... In short, I am very happy I am not looking...
