rizlared: That is equivalent to around 4320RMB, which is an above average wage in China, a senior Chinese teacher may get that kind of salary, but they would live in a privately owned home, have a car and maybe send their children to extra private schools, they would have a fairly good lifestyle.

Just because YOU (or those who earn 627$) cannot afford that lifestyle in the USA does not mean that YOU should destroy the lifestyle in other nations.

Your country priced themselves into the position they are in today, deal with it!!!

there is a distinction that has to be made regarding to actions of:

Governments
Business people, companies, etc..
Individuals

Early this year I went to Bolivia (Uyuni Salar) with my daughter and in the border with Chile we merge with a group of people (a new driver, a guide and a lovely guy from USA around my daughter's age. We spent sometime with this American guy and at some point we did talk about politics and about our way of living. The American Company that he was working for would not do business with China because of "Human rights" and I remember my daughter's eyes looking at me (because she liked this guy) and I did restrain myself asking him what about your country's foreign policy?

Hi Trigs wave

Insane is an understatement shock

We had a scorcher of 34C today and the forecast for tomorrow is also 30+, I cannot imagine temperatures like that. Not that I enjoy the heat, I'm a winter person. Having said that our winters are pretty mild with temperatures around mid twenties most of the time conversing

Hiya D wave

We were spoiled this past summer with temps in the 30's and this coming winter is forecast to be a more "traditional" winter which means lots of snow and cold temps...not looking forward to it and I'm thinking maybe we can trade places. giggle

Well, as long as "traditional" doesn't include anything less than zero, it's open for discussion. I don't think I could survive minus anything.

Sounds like Canada is definitely not for sissies laugh

Lilith wave

Is your summer months as extreme as your winter?

Lucky we are, but at the moment we have quite a few drought-stricken areas causing strict water restrictions and affecting our farmers badly. We are in desperate need of rain sigh

Thank you hug
