What is a mongrel ? ( Archived) (26)

I've always thought a mongrel is like a mix between 2 races like for example black African and Asian. But yesterday friend of my also discovered to me that even white race of different ethnic -nationality groups are also mongrels.
Are people with mixed European ancestry Mongrels?
Also,is it double standard when Obama can call " A Mongrel People" to take it casually acceptable but if white person say it, than political correctness might be translating as discriminatory ???
Example; Irish~Italian, German~French, Anglo~Polish ect

What I gathered from this documentary is that the UK was settled by many groups, not just one. So the Iberian's (from northern Spain) probably settled in the British Isles first, and then were followed later by Scandinavians (Danes, Norwegians, and northern Germans) in various waves. There was also a very small Roman settling population, in between, as well as Belgian/Dutch (Flemish) and Normans (northern French of mixed Germanic-French/Norwegian descent) into various areas of the UK (notably Scotland), much later on. What I find difficult to distinguish is if he is using Basque and Celts interchangeably, because despite the fact that Iberian (Spanish) Celts were among the first settlers of the British Isles, the Basques (also from northern Spain) are an entirely different group. I would not find it hard to believe that both groups contributed to the UK's genetic stock (along with Scandinavians, and other Germanic peoples).

The whole concept of the indigenous population of the entire British Isles i.e England, Scotland, Wales, both Ireland's and the Isle of Man it appears to originating from the same base genetic stock and such discovery made me wander if that would be simply too much from many sentimental Irish, Scottish and Welsh to accept ?

But in general, all Western Europe keeps sharing the same genes.
Basque and Celts may have had different languages, but not different genes....or perhaps we have enough failed Social Engineers, without re-engineer history ???
This looks to me quiet Mongrel mix and I say it with respect - being European Mongrel myself,loll.
