....i use to......seeing the children opening their presents....seeing friends/family....sitting down to a fine meal......going around the shops.....shopping....bright lights.....then going home to put it all together.....ahhhhh. lovely times......I still put up a nice tree..../decorations.etc......but being on my own.......with just my cat......I do wonder why.......why do i do it......??????......How about you

Yes it will be different this year ~ my daughter, her husband and my grandson are going overseas so it will be just my son and I
She came yesterday and we celebrated an early Christmas and her brother's birthday which was lovely

We're in very much the same position, but the last couple of years I had the tree (in the garage) up once or twice. My kids (adult students) r with me, and we don't realy hand out presents, it is just the being together, relaxing and recovering from a hectic year, as always.
