Not always Rizla, I did it for 2 years. Exciting but costly.
Emotionally draining at times but very adventurous and the passion, remarkable.

Exactly, if the meeting is to happen it should happen in days, not weeks or months, our minds have a way to turn things into what we want rather than what is real. The disappointment of failed expectation is staggeringly hard to cope with, I speak from experience

I have seen some successful couples here but not enough of them to be sure to start a distant relationship...unless you do have the monies to meet up frequently...as you said meet up early better than wasting your time...but I definitely would expect phone calls as well to determine suitability...or Skype...
All relationships are painful but being duped by someone on line is the worst...person on the blogs had this happen...just an awful experience to go through...

I always say romance goes well with a clock-watching vibe. The last thing you need is things happening in their own time.

Why not ask Tom and Whisper if their LDR has/is worked out. Maybe those guys could give us some do's and don'ts and imformation on LDR's as theirs is current and we all know how much they are in love, and maybe can help for those that are contimplating an offshore r/ship or meet
