Voids, Covert Interference, Brutal Regime, Strengthening Political positions in M.E.

Its like one big game of Risk for some of our Governments.

And still people die.

We should be ashamed, both of our involvement (West) & our reaction to this Humanitarian Crisis.

I get so angry about the whole situation

Those poor people are stuck between two evils, and are helpless and deserted by the world.

There is a cease to the fire and there is an evacuation of Aleppo going on at least.

I have posted it already:

After too many lost lives, too many displaced people and too much money spent in the war in Syria and they got to the same point, with the same dictator sigh at least there is a cease of fire in Aleppo.

Let us just hope for that war to be over and start with the reconstruction of the country, which will be a huge task.

wave

Hoping it will last.
I wonder will any recriminations happen to people who got us to here, with their interference.
Doubt it.

I find it so ironic that Obama and the CIA are castigating Russia for their interference in the US election when they have are more guilty of this behaviour. The cost is too much.

All that killing of innocents (children and adults) is just unbelievable and it happens in big numbers but that does not make it to the news.

There is a death toll from the war in Syria of 250,000+ innocents victims killed and among them 50,000 being children!!!

Obama is still upset because his party did not win the past election and he he does not care for the Syria war even though he got a Nobel Peace Prize.

Wars are business as long as they are not fought in their own land.

"..five-year-old Syrian boy waiting in an ambulance after a recent airstrike in Aleppo is just about as loud as it gets.
The boy, named Omran Daqneesh, was one of five children injured in an airstrike on Qaterji, a neighbourhood of Aleppo..."

In his press conference he said he felt responsible.
I sincerely hope he does because his regime is part of the reason we have the situation.

I have read up to 300,000 in total but its hard to know, but they all agree there is a large number of children among the death toll. So sad. Not to forget over 11 million displaced, and all the suffering that goes with that.

It is not only the big governments who are at fault

It is everybody

When I hear people saying that their country shouldn't take any of those poor people because they are probably ISIS, my blood boils.

These are the victims of ISIS, not the rich people sitting behind keyboards in their safe comfortable homes, deciding their future.

Completely agree and in my OP I did state we should all be ashamed.

From what I have read some countries have reacted better e.g Sweden and then others have voted Brexit and Trump doh
Ireland are not taking our share imo and would like to see us do more.

Some arrived this week, but yes, our country is at least as guilty as others.
