oh thank very much for your feed-back, i agree clearer, the old lens has been producing creamy light in images. Its all chuck away these days isn't? Few years ago i sought support under warranty from Olympus as the lens appeared to have dust in it. Turned me down...i had purchased weather resident, dust-proof camera and lens suitable for outdoor wildlife photography, but then Olympus Australia and Japan turned round only the camera was weather resident and dust-proof, not the lens offered to repair the lens for about the price as a new one.
I was surprised that the crowd i purchased (grey-import) new one from in Hong Kong processed delivery morning 22nd May in Hong Kong and I took those photos with new lens before lunch on 25th May...
robplum: When we picked poppy flowers we burnt the stem end so that they would last longer. Now days i think they scrap the bud and burn the milk instead Nice to see your garden is brightening up your day up Molly...
I never pick them Rob.
I love their vivacious colours in the garden.
And like all the best musicians, they burn brightly and have a short life.

That is a beautiful image Molly When my children were little we used to go to a city-park with some of those poppy flower, beautiful as well but because of illegal drug trading, growing poppies here is ilegal so no we do not get to se them anymore alive.

They grow wild here, as well as cultivated ones in the garden.
I doubt out pretty weather here is suitable for the illegal side of them
Tasmania currently grows around 30,000 hectares of opium poppies which are manufactured to produce pain relief medications, some of which are used in palliative care. The industry is highly regulated and comprises a series of unique rules that extend to the farming processes, processing of the poppy plants, and manufacture of narcotic substances.
