robplum: yellow tailed blac cockatoo

if you double click on image it will load in new tab then look at file name, i usually try to name the bird and then google picasa groups all in this instance yellow tailed black cockatoo's images together, and when searching the picasa program search functions locates using filenames that makes much easier to locate images

I thought it might be a cockatoo alright, because of the crest.

Great pics, Rob

(I'll click in future laugh )

Kingfisher is probably our most colourful laugh

I've saved a few thousand images since i've been actively photographing birds and wildlife over the past seven years.

I find it relaxing to wonder about in the bush photographing.
I don't print photos but have put together Windows DVD slideshow that I give away to anybody that wants one.

Recently one of my camera's died, and Olympus eventually said we are sorry we didn't meet your expectations... yeah good.
So over the past weeks I've been studying available cameras and finally sourced a new Sony a7ii camera also work is in progress to fit the a7ii camera with a Sony SEL70300G 70-300mm lens.

When Olympus firmware update stuffed up the version three firmware in now deceased OM-D E-M1 mirrorless camera, which is now residing in camera scrapyard heaven.
Olympus firmware update stuffed up the version three firmware focusing ability i purchased a new OM-D E-M1 mirrorless camera with firmware three in it. However when the camera the older one died i wasn't able to souce new one with version 3 firmware in it.
So although i've still got one working Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera the Olympus suitable for outdoor and wildlife use Zuiko 75-300 1.4.8-6.7 ii ED lens has dust in it...

Maybe soon Molly we might get to see what Sony a7ii and SEL70300G can doconversing

If my memory serves me correctly merriweather brought one those didn't she?

I considered the Lumix and Panasonic lenses during replacing Olympus process.
However to my mind the latest features the Sony a7ii camera has like (x2) sensor's (that are same as more or less but even faster than the more pricey Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark 2 camera) (New Olympus Lens alone AU$2779.00)
The Sony a7ii also now has in-camera five way stabilization feature similar to the OM-D E-M1 and Sony possibly has as good as or better AF Focusing...

I also perceived probably the Sony Lens has better lens light capability and in addition the lens also has its own stabilization feature within the lens, that works in tandem with the cameras stabilization......

I'll be the first to admit I am not good on the technical side, so I chose based on ease of usability and size/weight, etc.

I'm a lightweight laugh

That's a pity, i've friend who has a tablet to, seems to post stuff on facebook but.

I use postimage site, i dunno why tablet uses can't upload isn't much different from opening a webpage.

If you want to try postimage:

you just on choose images and it will upload images to there site and they then produce links i select Hotlink for forums, copy, post in here.

Its free i've had no worries using it for number of years

Brilliant nice photo

Where was the error in Postimage or the file on your tablet?

Hopefully you can figure what that is, however i'm pleased to see you managed to upload that one.

I downloaded their upload program which works good on computer, but i see they have method or app for uploading from phones and think they got tablet covered to.

I lost whole computer yesterday recovered by 3am most less some images which are of course safely parked on Post Image and Google Album this is my first online activity since yesterday so sorry for delay.

carry on Molly laugh

Thank you :-)

The error was on Post image.

I might try to download from a different file though, and see if it works

That comes up ok

Perhaps its a really big file that might cause delay in uploading etc, i usually run my pictures by picasa export function which strips unnecessary data for online usually i resize to a 1024 pixel size image they are then less the 500-kb
But Postimge accepts bigger files
