Hi Ash,
I'm not sure what was in the news exactly, but many soccer players who are in the last stages of their career are going to China, the US, and other lucrative upcoming countries

The lure of outrageous wages, somewhere in the region of half a million, has tempted many of our premiership footballers to pursue their careers in china.
( it's called football because it's a sport played with the feet, unlike the American version)

I can name at least 2 players in their prime, who have been tempted to jump ship to china.

Sorry,footballers-even so how do they compete,in what leagues then?! I suggest a stadium on their man-made island.
One2note: Chelsea's young Brazilian talent Oscar , has already left for the Far East & rumours are that's arsenal's top player "Alexis Sanchez"may follow suit.

It's usually a temporary thing, where a big sponsor pumps untold amount of cash, to boost their domestic league. It happened in India a few years back.

Wash your mouth out with soap.......you.............you....... blasphemer
There's little, or no loyalty, in football nowadays & a £350,000 a week pay increase is enough to temp any man, especially when you consider that a footballers career is relatively limited.

Why would there be? Players are bought and sold as commodities TV decides when games are on, etc. The players might as well look after number one as well.
