robplum: I think you should get further advice relating to engine seals after diesel has been run in a motor
If the engine and fuel lines are flushed quickly after the miss filling, the seals will not be affected, to damage modern seals they would need to be soaked in diesel for more than a couple of days

yeah i understand its been filled with diesel, but further inquiries seem to suggest your probably correct however, me thinks she should check the dipstick to see if the oil is pitch black, if it is the oil should be replaced before the car is started, the oil and both fuel and engine oil filters should be replaced.

A pair of storms are expected to hit the state this week, and forecasters say they will be strong enough to bring 2 to 6 inches of rain to Oroville, where the concrete spillway at Oroville Dam has been crumbling since Tuesday and an emergency earthen spillway with a concrete lip was eroding so severely Sunday that officials warned a 30-foot wall of water could be unleashed on Oroville and other towns along the Feather River.

robplum: diesel has lot of detergent in it, and will likely stuff seals if run in petrol engine, you probably seek legal advice
Mostly , card operated no attendant outfit south of Palmerston North supplies raw fuel . Fella working for Mobil in PN told me he had filled up their a few times as it was cheaper than his employer , he fills where he works now . I wondered why it was cheaper .------ This thread is Archived ------
fuel is expensive in this area, freight bumps the price up a lot, further increase when they add alpine (that's not much good anyway) currently diesel up the road is $1.439, down the coast probably more than 20c less.

dunno but i read post # 214 in this thread and thought about the hours and hours spent researching the links in thread recently deleted, very unhappy because this site in my opinion greatly assist redressing otherwise incredibly directions in international affairs that otherwise may adversely impact on all of us
