Well I vote we form a vigilante group, then burn the spaghetti parlour down to the ground. Then get a bulldozer and dig up all the soil, then burn it too. Then they might learn.

I'm kinda new to this whole "sales" thing, I was always a quality job first kind of guy, and still am. Unfortunately, in this day and age, people just want it done, they want a quick, cheap and easy fix. I'm struggling with this mentality, being that I wasn't raised this way, but I have to adapt, or go the way of the dinosaur.
I still do quality work, but only for people that appreciate it, and less and less work of any sort for those that don't. It's hard to stomach doing a mediocre job of any type, let alone doing it for bargain basement prices, but one still has to eat. Time to move on to something new, different, and hopefully exciting and invigorating.
Not sure if sales is my gig, but it's surely a lot different than anything else I've ever done.

I've been doing typing jobs for older people for extra $$
They don't do computers or emails and like their missives printed out but I'm finding it more and more difficult to take their money

That is why i closed my little buisness i would've made a killing except for the oldies taking advantage ... A lot of us were bought up to respect the oldies ... but me for one ... was'nt bought up with information of them being more shiftier than me
Jmo only we all forget sometimes that the old were young once upon a time

I'm actually finding them over-generous!
I think they're so delighted to find someone who'll listen to their needs and fulfill them that they're happy to pay above my quoted rate
