Kid, this definition of socialism is from Google, if your understanding of what socialism is about, it's your own. As far as I am concerned, with regards to welfarism, much like what the letter sent to me has no big difference. It was never claimed as you inferred that it's communism.
Again, Google the meaning of communism and or read that of Tse Dings and Russia during the reign of Stalin.
As far as the post is concerned, these is what we face in the intrusion or too much government control of our lives. Which is in line with the context of the professors example.
This post is not about the difference of the different ideologies, rather the interlacing account of being an anti democratic principle.
If you say that you read anywhere in the post about communism you are wrong.
And for you to insult a poster with that all too knowing Rizla is something else.
If you're too smart and disagree withave this letter, then disagree but don't claim as though there's an argument that contradicts the other ideology mentioned.

"An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan... All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A.... " (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all).
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

I'm sorry I've been so busy helping a friend who's suffering of lung cancer.
Anyways, contrary to the comment of someone that this post us about different ideologues, it is not.
My understanding us that it's a way of emphasizing and demonstrating some of the disadvantages of being in a socialism society or community.
But when it comes to communism I know there's a very fine line on execution of policies between the two.
Bottom line, there's an astronomical distance and difference with a democratic and or constitutional government like our country in the US.
If anyone wants to experience a very notable and dehumanizing life, read Solsenitsyns Gulag Archipelago, then we know more if the defects if communism and socialism.

I wish ( I really wish ) that people would educate themselves in the differences of the terminology they use in a waaaay too casual regard to differing ideologies, or for simpler terms, ways of living, and governing.
