One2note: I have more interesting things to do with my time, than to be obsessed with one particular man.
The only thing I have to say on the subject, is that I fear for the USA becoming an even more isolated country , almost to the extent of the old communist block.

One2note: Things were a lot more lively, until the mods adopted a stricter policy but the constant banning of fellow members kept the hilarious & often over the top banter, to the bare minimum... Maybe they should make a category "enter at your own risk" with a free-for-all, where no one could get banned.. I'm sure that would prove very popular amongst the think skinned members.

I like the idea of that category laugh

I would probably live in there grin

One2note: The constant posting of political threads discourages new members, who are genuinely looking for a partner, from participating on the forums? Has it discouraged old members also from posting?
This is a dating site afterall & I doubt political forums would accept dating talk, so why do the politically motivated use a dating site to view their opinions.

Just they like to shared their knowledge and get others opinion...well,this site is free to all who willing to share and talk to...so they can do whatever they want

2intrigued: That's it in a nutshell imo. Nothing puts me off more than people treating others like crap and the bully tactics used to get a point across tells us plenty about their character and who to avoid.

It does, but it is also a learning curve dealing with the harshness of written words where there is no tone nor pitch or facial expression accompanying it, for reading as well as writing.

All the bickering I would think would keep people away from any website then political threads.

The site obviously put the political option in place.

If some people don't like political threads it's really simple to reframe from posting in them.

I prefer political threads to 'whinging' threads, although there is often a overlap...
laugh

bottom line: no one is forcing anyone to read the threads

if/when a thread becomes predominantly negative.....just move on...there's plenty of threads

I think there was a time when that would of worked, and bring laughter as well...
but not so much now...would end up being a paste and post glory fest with tooooo much to read.. laugh

I'd like to see a thread, 'You don't have to be right...Ya just need to be tolerant'
