Trump Vineyard Requests Visas For Still More Foreign Workers “America First” doesn’t apply to Trump wines. By Mary Papenfuss
While President Donald Trump rails against immigrants and foreign workers taking away American jobs, the Trump Vineyard Estates has filed yet another request for visas for foreign farm workers at its Virginia winery.
The application filed last week asks for H-2 worker visa for 23 laborers at $11.27 an hour from April through October this year.
In December, Trump Vineyard Estates also filed an application with the Department of Labor seeking six visas that would allow the company to hire foreign workers for seasonal jobs. That paperwork was submitted just days after Trump urged an Indiana company not to ship American jobs to Mexico.
Trump Winery, which the president’s son Eric Trump owns, would employ the workers, according to Buzzfeed, The winery’s website says it is a registered trade name of Eric Trump Wine Manufacturing LLC and is “not owned, managed or affiliated with Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization or any of their affiliates.”
But the winery is located on the Trump Vineyard Estates LLC, which filed the visa request.Trump Vineyard Estates is listed as part of the real estate portfolio of the Trump Organization, according to its website. When Trump became president he said he would switch management of his companies to his sons but would maintain ownership. He revealed in a 2015 campaign financial disclosure filing that Trump Vineyard Estates had earned him $150,000 to $1.1 million, Politico reported at the time.
He also boasted at a campaign event last year featuring bottles from the Trump Winery — which was reportedly transferred to Eric Trump in 2012 — that “I own it 100 percent — no mortgage, no debt.”
Trump won approval in December to also hire 77 foreign workers at his Mar-a-Lago resort and Jupiter golf course through the H-2B visa program, according to a review of data from the U.S. Department of Labor shows conducted by Vocativ.
CNN reported last summer that Trump companies have employed at least 1,256 foreign workers — most from Romania and South Africa — in the past 15 years. The companies applied to hire 263 foreign workers even after Trump launched his campaign in which he railed against the loss of U.S. jobs to foreign workers.

here we are , the reactionary crowd throws a mental making sure Trump has no day to day running of his company's and now throws another mental when those same companys are run by others not to their reactionary standards . Reactionary oppose because they have no other thought process and have no standards apart from their double ones .
mykingdomforanam: If he claims $100 dollars in bankruptcy for 1/2 the people he hires...
He's still bankrupt.
you're right on to it then . have you ever given thought that one Trump business is protected from another . That the accumulated losses from all his business make damn sure you pay more tax than him

Already aware that like many companies, h-1b has been very popular. Seasonal work is something I can't decide is good or bad. Many citizens prefer full time because it's more reliable. Unemployment has guidelines that some seasonal work won't apply if it doesn't last long enough. Based on state laws as well as federal.
None of these are directly under control of Trump, even before his presidency. He pays people to manage and over see. Even his modeling agency, it's manger and the agency went to court. Trump stood by his employees and did what most corporations do for their smaller "arms" of business. Yes, many across the nation have used it since it passed. Many have greatly abused it too. What I am curious about, is if he will actually do something against the h-1b and h-2b. He did promise to do something about them.
I have often wondered if it could be used as a reasonable and legal way from some to attain citizenship.
If only people would have shown this much concern during nafta, the lack of action to reverse out sourcing and job diversion, continual cuts in education, over regulation, deals with known enemies, and so many other things over the years. We truly do have a sick nation where important things seem to go unnoticed.
Let's continue to cry about lesser things that the prior government has sold out too at much earlier dates and times.

i've lived a good life, used to do dueling pianos at night on bourbon street when I worked for NOPD,
after that i got certified in repairing coaches where i met more event musicians, thats how i got into booking events here in TX, still in business with the same crowd buying and selling diesels/coaches/toyhaulers/command centers.
but when running events, i always booked the most expensive hotels, ballrooms, for weddings, corporate events, fundraisers you name it...WE Texans love the european touch...no one can do it better.
many of these people work the cruise lines when they are not working the hotel circuit.
these are legal professional seasonal hotel employees and many come back year after year,

There's no known cure for the sort of gripe that Jac suffers from !
I think it admirable that people can be single minded and determines, but it;s a bit tragic when they lose their reasoning abilities and become one eyed ... like failing to see the difference between hiring a handful of seasonal workers for a vineyard versus (say) closing a car plant in the USA and sending jobs and factory south forever.
Or recognising the legitimacy of the seasonal visa process vs ignoring the illegality of undocumented entry and etc.
epirb: Is that the bit of land that has a buy back clause ?? , I don't have any boats but a selection of bridges I could swap you .
Aye, speaking of bridges, I have a few for sale too ... HCC needed money so I did a cash deal with the outgoing mayor for Waiere Drive Bridge, the pedestrian and services bridge, Fairfield Bridge, Bridge St Bridge and Cobham Bridge
I could be interested in selling them on / trade them for a 4 / 5 * hotel chain and cash my way ... or perhaps a JV deal with a tolls extraction vendor ?

GBTUSA ... it'll all come right in time !
Not only Trump's companies did hire undocumented workers but also did his labor Secretary, although Trump said he did not know it.
a bit dishonest, just like a bit dead or a bit pregnant or a bit ...
