Considering that, seems like most people put on with a no so satisfying work situation, I wonder how many of you consider that is just not reasonable to keep trying to stay in a position that make you unhappy, Mostly when you identify that the person in charge is an ignorant and intimidator who doesn’t care about a good work atmosphere.

I think there are layers to this question.
if I had a job that I enjoyed...I enjoy using the skill set required, I take enjoyment from my work, I feel passionate about the work I am involved with...yada yada...
and my boss was an a**hole...
I would focus on the pleasure and sense of fulfillment I get from the work, I would focus on my own performance and sense of doing well, and spend as little time as possible thinking about my a**hole boss.
Sometimes it's best to take what you want and leave the rest from a situation.
By focusing on what you enjoy about the job, you will create less stress in your life. Only you are responsible for your own happiness.... if another contributes to your happiness...weellll....that's just icing, which you can't control.
If this job is not something you enjoy and grow with, it's time to focus on identifying something you can feel passionate about to pursue.
In the meantime, focus on doing your job well... cause that's gonna bring it into focus and make opportunities with your skills for another job.

I have, and many times. Although I'd wait until a better job opportunity came along and took it. Otherwise, wait for that and 'milk' the current job just for the pay.

This.
And somehow I've taken great pleasure in tweaking my resume and searching job sites when the opportunity arises at milking time lol.
Only very few, believing in their potential can quit their job. If you are very good at your job,or is not recognize by your superior, then you quit for greener pastures.
As a matter of fact I did quit a job where there was no respect or concern for myself and many others. I have never been happier then the day I walked out. Of course I gave my notice because you just don't want to burn the bridges behind you. You never know when you may meet someone from that place. The good Lord found me a position elsewhere that turned out to be 1000 times better. Not worth being stuck in a job that you hate just for the money. this is a good poll to be posted on here, thanks.

mykingdomforanam: When I was 16 some guys hired me and a bunch of my older Venice Beach friends to make skateboards.
We were the only ones working; and we were supposed to get paid each day.
After a couple hours a guy told Flash and Kenny Snake that we'd have to wait till the end of the week to get paid.
Oops, I didn't mean to post that yet.
Flash said, BREAK!
Kenny Snake said, I got the power tools!
Flash said, I got the TV!
We all began claiming stuff, me, St. Louis, and Chuck-a-Luck pulled knives on the boss. Chicago was scarier without a knife than the rest of us with knives.
The boss tried to threaten us with a 45 he claimed to have in his pocket.
Flash said, Your pockets not big enough for a 45, and we moved in on him.
He said, He had to make a phone call; and we told him that would be a good idea.
He told us his partner would bring our money right away, and we went on a beer break.
I met those guys while I was living on the streets; because I quit working for my Dad.
I’m very serious and professional about work no matter which one it's, that is why I can no put on with someone that doesn't respect the commitment I have and it seems to think that because is not his/her job is not relevant.

If the presidential threat to bring back jobs to the so called 'rust belt' of the US actually happens those scurrying to take them will have to think about the question of 'Will you quit a job where your person+your work is not considered or even respect'? The new jobs may only be as Pencil sharpeners; Fly swatters; dish washers; can openers; emptying ash trays, putting postage stamps on envelops; extinguishing lighted cigarette butts and perhaps digging up bait for fishing...some of these jobs could be easily transferred to his Mir A Lago monument estate should he need extra menial servants but then again their pay would suffer as he'd charge them for their fine livery work uniforms...
