North east asians are slavishly obedient which is not the same thing as brainwashed. North Koreans hate their government.

None of the above mentioned countries are brainwashed, and definitely can not be compared...
Brainwashing was popular during the cold war, mainly in the West, where it's still strong in some places...

The weather was perfect for my first much needed first motorcycle ride of the year but...
It didn't start because the battery voltage was just not sufficient. It was holding 12.3 V but its not enough.
I will try again tomorrow using my car and booster cables but this time I will check the voltage coming off the booster cables. I think should get away with 12.6V... 12.8 would be nice.

I used that mind body soul expression today myself as the hikes I've been mentioning lately are with groups of people whose lives are affected by mental health issues and disorders and we're all benefitting from it
Hats off to them for getting the motivation to get out there and put one foot in front of the other

Is that a volunteering job?
Either way it is great to give that help because there is a lack of support for people with mental/motor disabilities (not sure about using a proper word)in many places.
A dear friend of mine has a son with some mental issue but he is rather smart and I used to help my friend taking care of him so she could have some free time but not anymore because he is now 24 and very tall and strong and sometimes he can get unstable and violent. He had hit his parents and they had to ask for profesional help to restrain him
