Do we need to explore ALL the world??

It's already been done, AND the the general
public has never been told about everything concerning
the North and South poles...

"Secret Satellite tech" has already mapped everything out""...
go search google earth and try to research the greyed out blurred areas...
"It can't be done, its Secret"

The only reason many Deposits/or 5000 year old plus Mining Sites have not
been exploited to their full potential yet is because there is not
enough money in it for mining consortium's to gather investors and
make a reasonable profit.

I think it is in the human psyche to explore and find new things

It isn't the exploring and finding that causes the problems, it is the legacy we leave behind

I agree. I don't think homo sapiens need to invade every nook and cranny (and stuff them up in the process).

I've just seen the new Google Earth and it's amazing...armchair travellers enjoy!

I think you underestimate a lot of people. Nobody I know wants to be the one to "kill the last white rhino". On the contrary, they're desperate to save them....but those are the people I relate to, so it's relative.

I'd like to be the guy that fluffed the last white rhino, to get a sample for a groundbreaking research project that brings them back from the brink of extinction. Then there can be a giant bronze statue of me in Trafalgar square, during the exact moment of the procedure. So lifelike, you can see his lips trembling and his hooves all curling up.

There are some natural reserves around the globe that allow natural-wild life to develop.

Douglas Tompkins co-founder of the brand North Face (who died in a kayak accident due to hypothermia) had lots of land to be kept in their natural status and now his widow is donating 400,000 ha in the Patagonia area to the Chilean gov for natural reserves-parks.

The problem is that we are too many for the current cycling process of the world's energy.

good luck
