"Not My President" is trying to find funding for his Great Wall which is supposed to keep the hoards of hard working fruit pickers away from the Orange trees and tomato vines. This way he will create jobs for all the poor American citizens that are on Welfare sitting at home in the projects watching Soul Train on TV. What I can't understand though is why does he need funding for the Great Wall if he promised during the campaign that Mexico is going to pay for it? All he has to do is tell the contractors to send the invoice to the Mexican government and they will be paid right away. I mean I've heard it said many times that he is the first POTUS in decades who is actually keeping the promises he made during the campaign, even the stupid ones.

He boasts that he is very very rich, so I guess, if the Mexicans fail to cough up, he can pay for it from his enormous wealth and tax returns.
Of course, if he stopped all the tax loopholes, there would be ample government money to pay for it

rizlared: Yet you said (I thnk it was you, could be wrong) on another thread that the labour cost in foreign countries was unfair, the reason America cannot make things at realistic prices is because of paying people way above the market value. Americans rarely understand that the ratio of wages against cost of living is way way different to that in most other countries.
Realistic could mean many things. it could be the realistic minimum necessary to sustain a first world democracy or it could be Shylock's realism of the West meeting India in the middle on wages - a future of a Modi in every country.
In reality today the value added by labour and an increasing share of humanity is way too low because of automation. The input to capitalism from people doesn't warrant, strictly speaking, the consumption of its own output. There is no other way than subsidising the average man - his job, his intellect, his ability does not warrant being middle class but he has to be middle class or civilisation will disintegrate. I'm arguing against the pound of flesh realism.

The quality of mercy is not strain'd, It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath: it is twice blest; It blesseth him that gives and him that takes: 'Tis mightiest in the mightiest: it becomes The throned monarch better than his crown; His sceptre shows the force of temporal power, The attribute to awe and majesty, Wherein doth sit the dread and fear of kings; But mercy is above this sceptred sway; It is enthroned in the hearts of kings, It is an attribute to God himself; And earthly power doth then show likest God's When mercy seasons justice. Therefore, Jew, Though justice be thy plea, consider this, That, in the course of justice, none of us Should see salvation: we do pray for mercy; And that same prayer doth teach us all to render The deeds of mercy. I have spoke thus much To mitigate the justice of thy plea; Which if thou follow, this strict court of Venice Must needs give sentence 'gainst the merchant there.

Global capitalism does want us to cut out a pound of our own flesh and give it to India and the merchant there. The West is not going to take this lying down, and indeed it isn't. We don't care about capitalist justice and there will be a war before we obey their law.

among other America has lot'sa financial problems:
Puerto Rico sought what is essentially bankruptcy relief in federal court on Wednesday, the first time in history that an American state or territory had taken the extraordinary measure.
The action sent Puerto Rico, whose approximately $123 billion in debt and pension obligations far exceeds the $18 billion bankruptcy filed by Detroit in 2013, to uncharted ground.
The total includes about $74 billion in bond debt and $49 million in unfunded pension obligations.
Last week President Trump suddenly added fuel to those fires, saying on Twitter that there should be no “bailout” for Puerto Rico.
The coming court proceedings will not be formally called a bankruptcy, since Puerto Rico remains legally barred from using Chapter 9, the bankruptcy route normally taken by insolvent local governments. Instead, Mr. Rosselló petitioned for relief under Title III of the Promesa law, which contains certain Chapter 9 bankruptcy provisions but also recognizes that, unlike the cities and counties that use Chapter 9, Puerto Rico is not part of any state and must in some ways be treated as a sovereign.

whole bloody idea is daft . No wall will work without policing it , as I have said before that could be done now giving dead keen 18 year olds in a border force rotating units of the US army to do the job .
How about big beautiful hydro dam pumping out power and holding irrigation water for both countries agriculture . Nah forget it , no sense in producing affordable food and electricity .

epirb: I wondered , I thought it was what Miley Cyrus said she is not wearing any more since she's stopped using drugs .
I do not get it.
She is not wearing a hat because she has stopped using drugs? Is there a correlation between hats and drugs? (do you mean ilegal drugs or is it legal drugs? )
I would not be surprised at the logics of this CS University
If that lady has stopped using drugs legal or illegal, good for her
lifeisadream: I did google that name and there were lots of references that she does not do drugs anymore and I could not find anything about sombreros.
Those are sombrero cookies "cebollón"
Cebollón (mature onion) = white head and green assess

agman: I think the trumpster wants to make the illegal criminal Mexicans to build the Wall. Pay off there prison sentence. Maybe, yes or no?
Why not?
In fact laws should be modified so criminals (which ever nationality) ought to work in prison, getting paid of course to have a starter money once they get out and they (the criminals) should have to study something as well as a requirement for all.

My father was a POW in the USA during WWII. Worked in peanut farms and ketchup factories earning a dollar a day. Saved up and after the war had some money to go back home.
