Thought I'd start a thread tonight simply to say hello and invite friendly banter
Ask me any questions (anything at all in the world), I shall endeavor to answer all, but be warned, knuckles will be rapped if the question strays beyond the horridly crude or unbelievably stupid.
Who'll be the first? don't be scared, I don't bite! (don't worry about the permanent teethmarks on my exs, those were just for decorations)
SkyblueBabe: Howdy Miss Serene, I actually live near Wagga, and have been here for almost 2 years. Very true blue Aussie, bred from a long line of Australians
Is it a country life there?
I only ask cos I enjoyed the Back Roads series on the ABC and like to imagine myself enjoying that close-knit kind of community

Hi Sky,
Deep question coming up:
Is there just one Wagga in Wagga, or is it Wagga Wagga ?

Wagga Wagga is a thriving little metropolis, not that I actually live there, but my suburb is so little known that I've kind of put the nearest big town as my suburb on here
My area is all farmland, I am in the middle of nowhere, on thousands of acres

mollybaby: That's what I thought alright. I knew somebody living here who told me he was born in Wagga Wagga and I thought that is such a cool name
I've often wondered about that Wagga thing myself, many place names here are derived from the Aboriginal language and repeating a word makes it plural ...
So one wagga is a crow, wagga wagga is two crows or a group of them
And of course a group of crows is a murder but that's another story lol
