studecarsayre, Oklahoma USA7 Threads 102 PostsI am astonished when I read the number of women who are "looking" and getting no where , why ? I have been on CS for a number of years , I have read a bundle of profiles and viewed many photos and I think I know , at least some of the problems, because of the way they affect me. In so many profiles , the first thing , or near the first item is , " I want to travel" ! Travel is expensive and sometimes very expensive, I suppose the women who state that, are looking for a millionaire , I am not one. Now, there is nothing wrong with travel and if they want to travel there are single cruises and single bus trips , so if they want to travel , fine , buy a ticket and have at it., and you might find someone , and you could be happy.. I have been single quite a while and have considered a few "lookers" but in most all cases they are looking for a free ride and seldom are looking for a quiet gentleman and a restful home to spend time enjoying each others company. I am quite sure my comments will draw a number of condemnations and criticisms for my view point , that is okay with me. There are other reasons that would cause me to be adverse but I will not discuss them at this time. Happy hunting , girls , don't give up.!
....I had the same experience as well. After a few dates the girl I was seeing mentioned she was going to a Caribbean Island and hadn't bothered to ask if I wanted to go. Upon her return she asked if I liked to travel and when I said "yes", she replied... I want to go on a Mediterranean Cruise ",,, When I asked if she could afford it, she left without saying a word and I have never saw her again...

Just because people like to travel doesn't mean they are looking for someone to pay for their travel.
They could simply be looking for an active person with similar interests.
Different people have different lifestyles.
I'm sure there are women out there who don't want to do anything as well, so best of luck in your search.
I'd be very cautious who I traveled with. Lot of scope for things to go pear shaped.

I agree with you there, Pat.
Going on holidays with someone, and being with them 24/7, can be a make or break situation.
But if your relationship can survive that, it can survive anything
There a lot of men's profiles where they state they're looking for someone with a similar interest in travelling.
It has never crossed my mind that they might be looking for someone (or me, personally) to fund their expeditions.
I think, 'you're barking up the wrong tree contacting me!'
I get itchy feet sitting still and behaving myself on the 13 minute train commute to Cardiff. I get painfully uncomfortable sitting in my friend's van in less than an hour due to an old be fracture. I don't want to eat beans on toast for a year to save up for package holiday.
They're my choices, my foibles. I don't expect anyone to change their lifestyle choices and dreams because I'm so mesmerising.
But if I happen to come across people to spend my time with, in a way which suits, I'll consider myself most fortunate.
If not, then I'll find something else to do. No one owes me a lifestyle and I don't owe anyone theirs.

The Concept of "Travel" is all Relative, I may not be able to swing a Trip to Paris, but i'd Gladly Take my Sweetie on a Roadtrip to Cleveland or Duluth, or a Week long cruise along Lake Superior taking our time and enjoying the Sights and Company Creating Memories along the Way
