If my memory serves me correctly another president attempted to mess with Food Stamps but they I believe are Federal.That particular president was prevented from doing so.

Price control doesn't work on foodstuffs. It never has and never will.
What does work though is healthy competition along the entire food supply chain, from paddock to plate. That's what keeps food prices down.

We need to tax food imports 2000 %, thatll make America great again and the poor and former middle class will still have to buy food at hugely inflated prices from giant agricultural corporations in America. There was a time 18 months back that some US beef wholesalers could not source product . Trump understands that a hungry man is a hungry man . Take one look at Trumpys voters , would you want to tell them that you have priced beef out of their reach by imposing tariffs on above quota NZ beef ? I doubt you would ever be able to understand just what farmers went through from '85 to 1990 . A time when farmers were expected to produce for nothing while their business were controlled by the banks . Many farmers killed themselves during that time . I personally knew one and knew of others . MAKE NO MISTAKE ON THIS MATTER , I NAIL MY COULRS TO THE WALL . I support those who produce the food to feed the likes of you .
