If Americans look at each planet through an occult lens you will see that Jupiter represents the lords of the sky, Saturn is, and always has been, the planet of judgment, and Mars is the planet that rules over the campaigns of war. Throughout the history of Western occultism, the name of the mysterious Baphomet is often invoked. Although it became a commonly known name in the twentieth century, mentions of Baphomet can be found in documents dating from as early as the 11th century. Today, the symbol is associated with anything relating to occultism, ritual magic, witchcraft, Satanism and esoterica. Baphomet often pops up in popular culture to identify anything occult. Witches would soul travel or meta-walk to the sabbat or go forth by night for communion with the demons. The worship of the severed head or the spiked head of Baphomet was a well known ritual that the Knights Templar were accused of participating in. A satanic cult called the Sons of Baphomet are reportedly responsible for the ritualistic torture and death of 24 year old Edwin Juarez Palma in a restaurant in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was tortured after having his hands tied behind his back after one of the alleged killers persuaded the others their victim should be sacrificed so he could return to life as a vampire.
