He gave me a gold heart signet ring with a ruby(my birth stone) for my birthday.
He told me I was beautiful often and always came inside the house to greet my folks when he picked me up.
He had the most incredible deep, dark, brown eyes and was very affectionate and tactile. He was also gentle with me. I loved him deeply but never had the opportunity to tell him. He was killed in a car accident when we were in the relationship. His last words to me on the phone were: I love you(the first and last time he'd uttered those words to me) We were together for 5 blissful months.
I've never known a love like it, since. He set the bar very high, I guess. A hard act to follow.
I think, yes....you've been unlucky so far.....but remember not to have too high expectation.....let "him" be himself....that way you won't be disappointed.

I was crying when i read it. I think you are right , he raised the bar high in a good way :)
I wish I will someday find such a man and ill make him happy in return as well.
I think it is finding the person that compliment and understands you. I thought i found him with the last one ( and im sure ill be judged and some will say i am a gold digger , actually My monetary situation was much better than him ) but he broke my heart . i ended up in the hospital with chest pains.

Thank you Anna :) I dust myself up , patch my heart and try to move on . what scares me it is the next broken heart or wasted time when a person is not serious and says they are.
