I mean today you could have a keyboard friend,

In my teens i used to write letters to one of my aunts, and also to
brothers that were away from home,, i liked sending them and awaiting the reply.
It is something i might take up again,, but with a different view

All that you posted is correct. We all write here so its proof it still happens but not in the way it did. In fact many of us here have possibly written a book or two with the amount of words posted.

This is true and it's going to get worse because the high tech keep increasing, today, you can just speak and the invisible keyboard writes everything for you.

Myself. .I'd rather have quality than quantity and can only have one or 2 penfriends at a time as this is all I can cope with.
Then...at a later date...when one doesn't bring me any more interest or we've run out of things to say then it's time to move on and someone else is bound to come along.

At the moment, I have 2. The list I made was both past and present. It was a lot more fun to write e-mails back when you could send youtube videos on CS like you can on the blogs and forums. When they updated the site they took the ability to post youtube videos and pictures and the emoticons. You can post the emoticons if you write them out between the two : : but you have no way to check your work because they also removed the preview button on the e-mails.
