Their satellite photos in this district are taken by plane every five years or so . I have met the man who has the contract for the Horizons district council a few times . He also takes the photos of our QE2 blocks if it suits with the bigger plane . Both google maps and bing maps use the same photos taken by him , cloud pattern is the same with bing having better colour . I don't doubt most of google pictures on google maps are flown . Bing maps at least has the sense to say they are aerial for the most part .
