This is firstly a dating site, with some added attractions, and , with a high percentage
unhappy, argumentative, rude, crude, insulting, intolerant FAKE, insincere ,players etc.
Do you think it would be a good idea, not to have forums at all, Or maybe have a separate
area where people have to pay to take part,, and maybe have it monitored for good behaviour,
then there would be a more select and respectful lot of people,who are serious about interacting with each other.
I love the banter and a laugh as much as anyone, but the site will resemble the people taking part
as the world represents the people that live in ,so we can't blame the site, or the world,
Just the people!

Each layer of regulation limits diversity, you're describing a very homogenised and dull place. Would advertisers be attracted to a very small but polite crowd? What exactly would be the cut off point, and how would it be enforced?
Ideally, people would be nice to each other and be respectful, by and large I think they are and they do. The folks with problems/issues will be the first ones to get around any new rules anyway.

I love the forums because if you really want to know about a person, the forums reveal the real person instead of what they put in their profiles.

Its what l posted 2 weeks ago and in those two weeks its got worse, more nastiness has come out, threats of being 'techy', absolute crap posts, PC people waving their stick, religious rubbish in the wrong place, people messaging that l now know have mental health issues and OP's whose threads l will never post on.
Luckily l am off in 8 days but l have slowed down on posts and l will not be involved here or logging on, this is the worst group of people since l arrived in 2003.

Yes Molly, but i think that the members that don't take part in the forums,
read the threads, and form a judgement, unwittingly and maybe don't mail someone that they might fancy,
because of it,instead of giving a chance.

I think if they form a judgement based on what people say on the forums, they are probably making a correct assumption about the person
I think I only dated one person that I did not meet through a public forum, as I believe that you do really get to know people better when you see their public interaction.
