Indigenous clans were migratory for their survival, and related to the land as a giver. It was a Microsystem that they had attained a balance with. Natural cures, ecology, hunting and harvesting practices and unfortunately they were introduced to diseases,to intentionally extermination them.
Among other many other inhumane treatments practiced in their homeland, as governors. They would historically refer to these acts as directives from " the Father".

I do understand the pre-historical references to the Pangaea land mass.
pedro27: your words of choice are convinicing .............but history books were wrote for all to see
Too many history books refer to their versions as relatable. I don't find they represent all viewpoints of Historical events factually, aka massacres, treaties, contracts, aid, etc.

History books are full of untruths just speak to a Native American.

They call themselves what ever tribe they are from. For example my Great Grandmother was Mohawk of the 5 tribes of the Iroquois. There are over 500 tribes and they call the group 500 Nations When Christopher Columbus came here, he was on a quest to find a shorter route to India to get the spice of peppercorns which is black and white pepper. So he called them Indians. He found a spice that was hotter then black and white pepper and he called that pepper otherwise known as cayenne pepper. The Americas were named after Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci. If you ask any of the people of the 500 Nations what they called this land before the Europeans came they will say "Ours".
English Canada is celebrating their 150th celebration as a country, while the natives celebrate their 12 thousandth as the people that settled and lived here...seems a bit of a discrepancy here...arrogant English
minnieme2: Well if you mean the Native American Indians, they'd be the first Americans. So you could say either first. Bit of a riddle!
I don't think there were any Asian Indians in America before the Native American Indians or before the Europeans arrived. Am I right?
not certain, but the native peoples in the northern parts of north america nearer the arctic circle might have had asian roots as there was apparently an ancient land bridge between the continents at one time. I'd have to look it up though to know whether that theory is still accepted. The ancient peoples in Hawaii are not from this continent and perhaps more Polynesian or Indonesian in roots. Hawaii is not part of the continental United States though. There were ancient migrations of peoples by handmade canoe in the islands in the pacific that I have read about, in great detail, and much of the detail I have forgotten.
Some theories are that out own Native tribes also migrated here as ancient ancestors of the tribes currently here,
pedro27: which came first the Americans or the Indians....?
Actully it was the Mounties who were there first......singing..*.ohhh rose mari I love you...*.....when this lone Indian jumped out of a tree and scalped him........end of story......... .........

Very interesting. Thanks Felix. Part of Ireland or Scotland, not sure which, or maybe both, were joined onto Canada eons of years ago too, apparently. The first Irish to set foot in Ireland were said to have come across from Siberia. So probably Britain as well.
as Custer said to one of his officers......while shooting off his last 2 bullets.....while having 4 arrows in his back....and 3 arrows in his chest......* I really cant make theses Indians out*.....they were singing and dancing last night.....???????
